Couple of ideas for HP comms

1) Okay, on LJ I ran two rounds of the
hpchallengefest, but I suck as a mod, and I've found two people to take over as mods there. I'd really, really like to see someone run it over here on DW, too. I created it as a way to encourage fanfic writers in the HP community to challenge themselves, and write pairings/characters/ratings/themes that they'd never written before. I find that challenging oneself and one's boundaries can result in some really fantastic fic.
Anyone interested?
2) Also, I had an idea for a comm a little like
ficfinishing, but specifically for the HP fandom and not quite as closed or... I don't know, as stressful as
ficfinishing seems to be. Anyway, the point of it would have been specifically to help people like me finish those fics they've started that aren't for fests. I usually don't have a problem writing for fest deadlines (usually) but if I have a fic I've started that's not for a fest, it can take months or years to finish it. I still have unfinished fics I need to finish.
I'd begun hashing some things out with a couple of other people, but none of us ever got things together enough to actually start it.
