Otter & Ferret: A Hermione/Draco Gift Exchange. Sign-ups Open January 15

Description: Otter and Ferret is an annual Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy gift exchange. Participants submit prompts and create a 1,000+ word story tailored to one or more of another participant's prompts. Gifts are created anonymously, and then shared with the community.

The fifth round of [insanejournal.com profile] hp_beholder will be getting underway soon!


HP Beholder is a Fic & Art exchange that was created to focus on relationships featuring those HP characters who rarely feature in fanworks because some less-than-discerning people think they're unappealing. For background information relating to the creation of this Fic/Art Exchange, please see the original general information post

For the most current information, please click here to read the 2012 HP Beholder rules and guidelines.

Note: for the 2012 edition, the following timeline will be used:

  • Sign-ups begin - Thursday, January 26
  • Sign-ups end - Friday, February 3
  • Assignments get sent out - Monday, February 6
  • Submission Deadline - Thursday, March 30
  • Posting Starts - Thursday, April 12

    We're halfway through December already; can you believe it?!

    Some absolutely amazing fic and art has been posted to Kinky Kristmas so far. Sadly, reading/viewing/commenting already seems to be dropping off a bit this year. However! A roundup of the pieces posted during the first two weeks is here below the cut for your catching-up convenience. :D

    Are you fan of cop dramas on TV? Is Mad-Eye Moody one of your favorite Harry Potter characters? Ever wish the series had chucked Quidditch in favor of more Defense Against the Dark Arts?

    Then you would like The Aurors, the TV show that, alas, never existed. Except here, in fanfic form! This is a prompt meme inspired by that fan "trailer," for readers and writers who would love to see a grittier, more adult Harry Potter, focused on the men and women (and possibly some non-humans, too) who defend both the wizarding and Muggle worlds against evil magic.

    Signups are open now; close on December 8th at 8 p.m. EST; stories are due by the same time on January 8th, and will be opened for reading on the 9th. They'll be anonymous to begin with; author reveal will follow a week later.
