Yeah, it's definitely not the greatest! =/

I think the situation is that a lot of people mirrored communities from LJ at some point, but there's a difference between mirroring communities and growing communities.

Some of the smaller ships kind of have it 'easy', in that there's only one community: dmhghp, for example.

However, there's a proliferation of Harry/Draco communities all around. The general criteria for inclusion is that they either have to be archival (ie, a fest was mirrored on the DW community) or open (open membership, posting open to anyone/all members). So, a lot of the H/D communities could become active, potentially. Maybe they will be in the future! :)
